Focus Group: Community Conversations Exploring the Intersection of Human Trafficking and LGBTQ+ Identities

Loading Events

Join the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking (LCHT) in collaboration with the The Center on Colfax for an important conversation about how human trafficking is impacting Colorado’s urban LGBTQ+ communities. Systemic oppression and marginalization of some communities can lead to vulnerability to trafficking and other forms of exploitation. This will be a focus group to help us to learn more about these intersections and overlaps.

LCHT is hosting this listening session on September 10th from 12:00 - 1:00 PM virtually via Zoom. We want to hear from LGBTQ+ communities and service providers who support them in the Greater Denver Area. We want to learn about your experiences, supporting survivors of abuse and violence so we can better understand root causes of human trafficking.

What to expect:

1) The focus group will be hosted on Zoom

2) It will last for about an hour

3) All participants and responses will be de-identified and confidential

4) All participants will receive and sign an informed consent that details these commitments
