Why Volunteer
Last year, more than 950 dedicated people from all walks of life helped The Center on Colfax fulfill our mission by donating over 18,000 hours of their time. From greeting visitors at the front desk, to facilitating support groups, to helping us grow Denver Pride into one of the largest pride celebrations in the country, The Center on Colfax's volunteers make a real difference in our community.

Volunteer Opportunities
Front Desk Greeter
Front desk volunteers at The Center on Colfax are the heart of our organization, serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers seeking information about our programs and services. This opportunity requires a weekly commitment and will:
- Answer a multi-line phone
- Assist community members with navigating Center and other community resources.
- Greet guests, offering exceptional customer service with a professional demeanor.
- Assist with light administrative duties and projects.
- Foster a positive environment and maintain a safe space.
Events
Support The Center at our array of special events! Visit our event page for more information on the events we put on. This opportunity asks for volunteers on an "as-needed" basis and does not otherwise require a weekly commitment. This position will:
- Assist with event set-up and tear-down and potentially some responsibilities during an event.
- Greet guests and assist with check-in.
- Represent the Center on Colfax at off-site events while tabling.
Group Volunteering
