Oppression against any of us harms all of us. On Wednesday, Renee Nicole Good was shot and killed by ICE, leaving behind her wife and a community in mourning. Renee was part of our community in more ways than one: she was from Colorado and a member of our LGBTQ+ community.

Let's be clear: Renee was standing in solidarity with migrants, and she was killed for doing so.

Between this devastating loss and the ongoing rollbacks of gender-affirming care, many of us are carrying heavy hearts right now. The Center’s doors are open five to six days a week for support groups and community connection. If you need warmth in this freezing weather — or a place to set down grief, anger, or exhaustion — we are here for you.
