The SAGE of the Rockies program for older adults is proud to recognize this year's Elders of Pride honorees: Robin Glade and John Nelson. The award breakfast took place on June 12, 2018 on The Center's rooftop patio.
Our first honoree, Robin, is a volunteer instructor at The Center and a wonderful inspiration to many. Her often quiet and gentle nature brings much needed calmness when storms arise. Whether you first meet her in The Center's yoga or art classes, you will come to know her as an excellent listener. Her insightful wisdom is always appreciated and she may challenge you with her thought provoking inquiries. Robin’s warm and inviting nature always makes new folks feel welcome when they visit The Center for the first time.
Our second honoree, John, is an easy going person with an excellent sense of humor. He is always happy to lend a helping hand when others are in need. He often volunteers his time to assist other community members with challenging tasks. His leadership in Telling Our Story has been instrumental in growing that popular program. Given the opportunity, John will always take the chance to brighten your day. His presence at The Center rarely goes unnoticed.
We are so thankful to all our volunteers! It is our sincere pleasure and honor to recognize the contributions that Robin and John have made to the LGBTQ community in Colorado through their work at The Center.
