I am a queer human and therapist in Denver, Colorado. I am grateful you are here. It is an honor to work with queer communities in the Denver and across Colorado. Supporting LGBTQ+ folks in finding their own inner source of authenticity and power is a deep honor.

Our queer communities have a lot of invisible weight to haul around these days. Of course, it is difficult to find the firm ground you need to grow and thrive. Be it anxiety, depression, coming out, life transitions, gender exploration, work-life balance, or achievement pressure, I am here to help. As part of our work together, we will creatively explore how to step out of your comfort zone, while taking good care of yourself. Choosing to change is scary, and worth it. You’re not in this alone.

Taking the first step toward change is often the hardest. Here you are, making it happen. Maybe the next steps are uncertain. Part of our work together will be creatively mapping how you can live less in your head and more in the now. We will also discuss who and what matters the most to you and help you to live a life more aligned with these values.

In my work at Rooted Acorn Counseling, I focus on supporting queer adults and teens as well as parents of LGBTQ+ children and allies. Issues we may address together may include, and are not limited to depression, grief, anxiety, identity exploration, self-worth, work-life boundaries, high achieving, building a deeper connection with self and others, academic stress, coming out, and relationship conflicts with loved ones. I also offer therapy tailored to the needs of parents of LGBTQ+ children and can support parents in navigating their own journey as new or existing members of the LGBTQ+ community.

If you are ready for the next step, I would love to hear from you. Visit my website (rootedacorncounseling.com) to learn more about me, my approach and to schedule a free phone consultation to see if I am a good fit for you.
