Jaywalker Lodge drug and alcohol treatment center offering a 12-step rehab immersion program in Colorado, for motivated men.

Over the weekend, the University of Colorado Hospital's Center for Dependency, Addiction, and Rehabilitation (CeDAR) hosted the third annual Gender Matters conference in Denver. The event focused on the evolving trend of gender-specific treatment services, delving beyond separate facilities to incorporate insights into men's and women's psychological development, experiences of trauma, and recovery into clinical services and curriculum. Notable speakers included Brene Brown, known for her TED talk on shame and vulnerability, and Dan Griffin, author of "A Man's Way Through the 12 Steps," who emphasized addressing trauma in men's recovery. Topics covered included women's trauma, eating disorders, LGBTQ issues, and sex addiction. Jaywalker Lodge, a co-sponsor, brought eight clients to experience the conference, providing an opportunity for education and fellowship.
