West of 50 is a welcoming space to take an engaging class, try a new activity, attend a fun event, or find social support. The program is designed for older adults (age 50+) in the LGBTQ+ community and their allies.

25% of The Center's visitors participate in one of our programs for older adults—come join our warm, supportive community. Stop to attend one of the many social, educational and support programs that we offer at The Center.

West of 50 is currently hiring for a contracted Qigong, Tai Chi, or Movement Instructor.

This role strives to deliver high-quality, community based Tai Chi or Qigong classes to individuals who are 50 years old and better and/or individuals who have disabilities. We would also consider other movement classes in the place of Tai Chi or Qigong.

Save the date: Celebrate our legacy of pride!

Join Steve-Anne and CowPoke Avi as they host a very special pride celebration in honor of the 50th anniversary of Denver Pride! This collaboration from West of 50 and Denver Public Library will be a fun filled afternoon of trivia, karaoke, prizes, music, and more, held on the rooftop of The Center on Colfax. Popcorn and soda will be provided.

Celebrate the history of our community and pride in Denver at this 70's themed event. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in 70's style attire - there will be a prize for the best outfit!

2024 AARP Tax Aide Update

We are sad to say that we are unable to host the AARP Foundations Tax-Aide program this year. We recognize the importance of this service for the community and and will do our best to connect you with other host locations once they become available.

AARP Tax Aide will now be held at Messiah Community Church - 1750 Colorado Blvd. The site is open for appointments, with limited ability for walk-ins. The site is open every Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
