Older, Wiser, Sexually Smarter - Rediscovering Intimacy Later in Life

This weekly discussion group is facilitated by a West of 50 staff member and focuses on dismantling sexual misconceptions and introducing evidence-based topics to help older adults engage in their best sex-positive-selves. The group operates based on important and fundamental concepts about sexuality and ages. Older adults can examine and possibly change the “sexual scripts” they have learned from childhood about to think and behave as sexual people. Many of these scripts are not relevant for older adults. Additionally, sex is more than intercourse. Especially in the later years, individuals can to explore the possibilities of non-penetrative sex, or “outercourse”.

May 12th CU Cancer Center Breast Cancer 101

Breast Cancer 101 is an informative and approachable presentation focused on helping people learn the basics of breast health. We’ll cover what breast cancer is, risk factors, common signs to look out for, and why early detection and screening are so important. Participants will also receive a resource map with local places where they can access breast cancer screening services. The session ends with an interactive activity to reinforce key information and answer common questions in a supportive environment.
