West of 50
2023 Annual Report
West of 50 is a welcoming space to take an engaging class, try a new activity, attend a fun event, or find social support. The program is designed for older adults (age 50+) in the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. In 2023, a total of 4,404 people were served through the West of Fifty (WOF) program, a 237% increase over 2022. We saw the return of many important and engaging programs such as the Queer Woke Speakers Series, AARP Tax Aid program, and the Tea Dance. New WOF programs included Movie Nights, Dining and Discussions, Lesbian Lounge, and a ceramics class. The Disability program served 112 people in 2023. The Center held its first Disability Pride Month event, launched several disability-focused support groups, and facilitated outings for community members.
