We understand that your quality of life is enhanced when the sound of your voice is aligned with your gender expression, particularly for male-to-female transgender individuals.
Options to help align your voice with your gender expression include voice therapy and potentially vocal surgery.
Voice therapy is considered first. If additional surgery may prove more effective, options may include:
-Voice Feminization Surgery/Feminization Laryngoplasty (altering the length and tension of the vocal cords to raise the voice pitch)
-Laryngeal Lift (lifting the larynx early could accentuate voice therapy)
-Thyroid Notch Reduction (reducing the size of the Adam's apple)
