Sixth Avenue United Church is a congregation of the United Church of Christ. We are an open and affirming congregation. That means that we welcome all people regardless of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender preference, and disability. We have a strong tradition of openness towards a diversity of beliefs about God and the role of religion in our everyday lives. Sixth Avenue participates in a number of local and global mission projects, providing immediate assistance and working toward long-term solutions. Projects include collecting food donations for Denver Inner City Parish, which serves the homeless and under-served, participating in walks and marches, and hosting the Women’s Homeless Initiative.
