As of January 27, 2026, Denver Health has Canceled Gender-Affirming Care For Those under 18: Patients under 18 cannot currently receive gender-affirming care such as hormone-replacement therapy, puberty blockers, and surgeries at Denver Health.
- Primary Care and Behavioral Health Care - No changes have been made. These forms of care can be accessed at any time by making an appointment.
- Adult Patients - Denver Health's patients who are 19 and older will continue receiving the same medications and surgeries they have been offering.

On February 5, 2025, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser joined a coalition of attorneys general to reaffirm a commitment to protecting access to gender-affirming care in the face of the Trump administration’s executive order.
“State attorneys general will continue to enforce state laws that provide access to gender-affirming care, in states where such enforcement authority exists, and we will challenge any unlawful effort by the Trump administration to restrict access to it in our jurisdictions.”
