As of February 20, 2025, Denver Health has resumed some gender-affirming treatments for patients under the age of 19.
Patients under the age of 19 will be able to continue to receive puberty blockers and hormone therapy, but surgeries for patients under 19 are still paused at this time.

- Primary Care and Behavioral Health Care - No changes have been made. These forms of care can be accessed at any time by making an appointment.
- Adult Patients - Denver Health's patients who are 19 and older will continue receiving the same medications and surgeries they have been offering.

On February 5, 2025, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser joined a coalition of attorneys general to reaffirm a commitment to protecting access to gender-affirming care in the face of the Trump administration’s executive order.
“State attorneys general will continue to enforce state laws that provide access to gender-affirming care, in states where such enforcement authority exists, and we will challenge any unlawful effort by the Trump administration to restrict access to it in our jurisdictions.”

On February 4, 2025, PFLAG National launched a federal legal challenge against executive order from the Trump administration attempting to shut down nationwide access to necessary medical care for transgender people under 19.

Planned Parenthood provides gender affirming care services including hormone therapy and surgery referrals. As of an announcement on January 31, 2025, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains is continuing operations of their hormone therapy program and will not be limiting access for 18-year-old patients at this time.
