Transgender Day of Remembrance

The Pearl | Thursday, November 20, 6:00 - 9:00 PM

Each year, Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) calls us to remember the transgender and gender-diverse people whose lives were taken by acts of anti-trans violence, and to honor their memory by continuing the work of liberation. This year, The Transgender Center of the Rockies and The Center on Colfax, in partnership with The Pearl Denver, invite our community to gather for a heartfelt evening of remembrance and resilience.

Program of events from 6 PM to 9 PM

What to Expect

Our evening will feature music, poetry, affirmations, and a candlelit name-reading ceremony. We will speak the names of those we’ve lost aloud, ensuring their lives are remembered and their legacies carried forward. Community members are invited to contribute to our altar by bringing photos or names of transgender and gender-diverse loved ones who have passed away.

Light refreshments and warm drinks will be available, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.

This event is open to all community members and allies. Together, we hold space for grief, love, and the continued fight for a safer, more inclusive future. Because queer liberation is for everyone and remembrance is how we build it.
