For the first time, Blaxplanation and Black Pride Colorado are partnering to bring you a family-friendly talk and Halloween party to learn and celebrate the Black LGBTQIA2+ community in Colorado! Dr. Tara Jae from Black Pride Colorado will join Acoma Gaither, Assistant Curator of Black History, Calvin Gipson, Dana Juniel and David Duffield to reflect, honor, and celebrate the unique beauty and vitality of the Black LGBTQIA2+ community. After the talk, stay for a kid-friendly, costumed dance party with a DJ, a collections table from History Colorado and community members, and deliciously spooky treats!
