Hi! I'm Sarah Kate Wilder (SK for short). I'm a licensed therapist and survivor of religious trauma. I hope to start this group early 2023 for adults looking to reclaim their story following religious trauma from fundamentalist forms of christianity*. This group will start with a mindful moment. Then we will have a different topic at every session for the 6-8 weeks of the group to process and reflect. We will end with a closing ritual. *Feel free to still reach out if you survived a different form of religious trauma.
The purpose of this group is to empower members to reclaim their stories and find what they keep and what they throw away. This is done through thoughtful discussion, group validation and shared experiences, as well as mindful reflection.
