Rainbow Alley is a safe and brave space empowering LGBTQ youth to be their authentic selves. Youth made more than 2,600 visits to Rainbow Alley in 2017.
SAGE of the Rockies
25% of Center visitors are attending a SAGE activity including Silver Sneakers® exercise classes, men’s and women’s coffee groups, and other educational and social activities. SAGE of the Rockies is one of The Center’s fastest growing programs.
Capitol Hill Care Link
Capitol Hill residents over 60 continue to live independently thanks to referrals for support services, counseling and social activities such as our “Still Cooking” classes that encourage good nutrition.
Healthcare Enrollment Coordinator
583 community members found coverage through the state health insurance exchange.
The Center helped 858 community members answer questions or find referrals through our Transgender Program support groups.
Training & Legal Programs
RANGE consulting received the Colorado Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association’s 2017 Community Service Award. More than 1,050 people attended a training in 2017. Our Legal Program provides monthly free legal clinics for the community.
Colorado LGBTQ History Project
During 2017, the History Project collected oral histories from LGBTQ community members and trained individuals on the techniques of collecting these valuable historic resources.
LGBTQ Family Program
The Center welcomed families to participate in our annual Dia de los Muertos celebration in 2017, enjoying music, dance and traditional crafts as well as honoring LGBTQ ancestors with traditional ofrendas. Families also enjoyed quarterly events such as our Winterfest celebration.
More than 550 volunteers contributed over 18,000 hours of service to The Center.
Our annual festival attracted 385,000 visitors to celebrate the LGBTQ community of Colorado. It’s the largest celebration of LGBTQ pride in the Rocky Mountain region. The festival features three stages, including our popular Latin Stage.
