Rocky Mountain Equality and Push FORWARD Development are excited to partner to host Melanated & Motivated Summit, a 2-day experience for Queer & Trans People of Color (QTPOC). The goal of this event is to curate a space to inspire and empower QTPOC, and to provide them with resources to help them enter a fulfilling career or get to that next level in their current career.
Melanated & Motivated spans two days and will include a series of professional development workshops on Friday, November 21 and a career fair on Saturday, November 22. The professional development workshops are designed to be interactive sessions to help attendees develop and/or enhance specific skills related to professional/personal development. Some key areas that will be covered are creating a vision/goal setting, career coaching, resume building, interviewing skills, and dressing for success to name a few. The career fair will provide attendees with an opportunity to explore local companies, learn about open positions, network with professionals, and/or perhaps have a first initial interview.
