SUMMARY:Virtual: Mapping Yo Squad
DESCRIPTION:Join\, Goddess of Sun Seed Community\, for a nourishing session on how to practice resourcing that directly intervenes in oppressive systems and beliefs. In this 5-part guided meditation and journal time you'll be invited to look at 4-parts of yourself (The Maintenance Keeper\, The Guardian\, and The Lover). We'll then reflect individually on how these major archetypes can help us to understand how we can show up for ourselves\, ask for help from our community\, and resource tools we already have during times of deep grief and transition. A paper workbook will be provided. This session is inspired by the Zine "We Need Emotional Labor" by Jennifer Williams\, the guided meditation "Let Go\, Love\, Forgive" by Lorraine Segal\, and the legacy of creating Emotional Safety Plans by  queer\, trans\, intersex \, disabled and Mad folx. Thank you for the gifts of care you shared with the world.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility \n\n\nAI closed captioning available \n\n\nAt least 2 bio breaks throughout the session \n\n\nVisual stims provided \n\n\nFor safety and Security no one will be permitted into the Zoom room 10 min after the start time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommunity Guidelines \n\n\nSSC Space Maintenance Agreement \n\n\nThis session is open to individuals of all cultural\, ethnic\, and racial backgrounds. However\, queer\, trans\, intersex people of color are always centered in the work Goddess creates. If your behavior and/or language belittle\, dehumanize\, or devalue anyone in the space you will be asked to leave and Goddess will check in with you after words.

SUMMARY:Silent Pages Society: The Future is Present\, The Harbinger is Home
DESCRIPTION:Silent Pages Society: The Future Is Present\, The Harbinger is Home\nIntroverts welcome. Conversations optional. Connections possible. \nSilent Pages Society is a quiet literary gathering for those who find meaning in stillness and solitude. There’s no assigned reading\, no discussion circles — just you\, your book\, and the soft hum of others doing the same. \nThis summer\, we gather inside the galleries and on the rooftop deck of MCA Denver\, reading in quiet company against the backdrop of The Future is Present\, The Harbinger is Home—an exhibition that traces questions of place\, memory\, and belonging across shifting landscapes. Drawn from the New Orleans-based triennial Prospect.6\, the works on view invite us to consider what it means to inhabit a place shaped by water\, migration\, and time. \nYou’re welcome to read in the exhibition spaces or take your book to the rooftop café for open air and city views. \nHow It Works:\n– Doors open at 5:30 PM. Come and go as you please.\n– Register in advance to reserve your spot\n– Check in with Denver Public Library staff at the entrance\n– Save your QR code for quick check-in at the event\n– Choose your reading spot — in the galleries or on the rooftop\n– Receive a stamp in your Silent Pages Society passport. Collect five to earn a limited-edition literary prize \nPlease note: These programs regularly fill up. If you’re unable to attend\, please cancel your registration so we can open your spot to someone on the waitlist. \nFree with RSVP. Light food and drinks available for purchase at the MCA Café.\nThis event is for adults. \nPresented in partnership with MCA Denver. This program is part of One Book One Denver\, a citywide shared reading event exploring memory\, place\, and creative connection.
