DESCRIPTION:Older\, Wiser\, Sexually Smarter - Rediscovering Intimacy Later in Life\nThis weekly discussion group is facilitated by a West of 50 staff member and focuses on dismantling sexual misconceptions and introducing evidence-based topics to help older adults engage in their best sex-positive-selves. The group operates based on important and fundamental concepts about sexuality and ages. Older adults can examine and possibly change the “sexual scripts” they have learned from childhood about to think and behave as sexual people. Many of these scripts are not relevant for older adults. Additionally\, sex is more than intercourse. These classes are designed for all levels of activity\, flexibility\, and yoga practice experience. As part of his Master's practicum\, these hour-long Ashtanga-style yoga classes (no heat or music) include physical postures (asana) and light breathwork (pranayama) to help you recover\, focus\, and feel great. All we ask is that you commit to attending one class per week for 6 weeks\, and complete three quick surveys (pre\, mid\, post) to help with the research. Classes are designed to help practitioners improve mobility\, enhance concentration\, develop their own practice\, and build community connection in a relaxed setting. \nReady to roll out your mat? McDaniel’s current roles include acting as the Founder and Curator at Creative Integration Initiative (CII)\, adjunct professor in the Department of Art at MSU Denver\, and practicing artist. Their art practice is media agnostic and frequently traverses installation\, performance\, social practice\, and printmaking. They hold an MA in Art and a BA in Art. \nACCESS DESCRIPTION:\nBus Stop Gallery is located in North Boulder. There are approximately 12 parking spots\, 3 of which are designated as accessible; one has a ramp access area. There is a paved\, flat sidewalk between the parking lot and gallery that is about 30 feet long. The entrance has a swinging door with no automatic opener and a gradual 1-inch grate bump. \nThere is one all-gender\, accessible\, single-occupancy restroom. The doorway has over 35 inches of clearance and includes a stability bar near the toilet. The gallery floor is flat concrete\, and no scented cleaning supplies or air fresheners are used. Lighting includes bright fluorescent and natural light. The gallery will notify participants if flashing lights are present at any event. Sound echoes in the 500-square-foot space\, and crowded openings can feel quite loud. \nThere is one emergency exit—the same as the front entrance. Additionally\, all five glass garage doors can be opened in case of emergency.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Colorado LGBTQ+ History Project for Education Saturdays. Each month\, we will offer a free public lecture on LGBTQ+ history in Colorado\, or on a broader subject following our heritage month calendar. The lecture will be followed by an educator workshop. The workshop offers a gathering place for LGBTQ+ educations provides lesson plans and other resources for teachers. Resources provided and discussed in this meeting are relevant to the general public as well as teachers. They include bibliographies\, lecture slides\, books\, notes\, and primary sources when available. \nThe lecture will run 12:00 - 1:00 PM and the education workshop will run 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
