SUMMARY:An echoing spring\, a story of Matthew Shepard
DESCRIPTION:In the realm of theater\, some stories transcend mere entertainment to become powerful vehicles for social change and remembrance. An Echoing Spring from Colorado TINTS and written by Mike Broemmel stands as one such production\, taking on the profound responsibility of telling Matthew Shepard's story through an artistic lens that both honors his memory and challenges audiences to confront the ongoing issue of hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community. \nThe play delves into the tragic events of October 1998\, when Matthew Shepard\, a 21-year-old University of Wyoming student\, was brutally attacked and left to die near Laramie\, Wyoming. Through carefully crafted scenes and thoughtful dialogue\, An Echoing Spring explores not just the horrific crime itself\, but the ripple effects it had on the community\, the nation\, and the broader fight for LGBTQ+ rights. \nDates: \n\nSaturday\, May 24 at 7:00 PM - Click here for tickets\nSunday\, May 25 at 2:00 PM - Click here for tickets\n\nLocation: Salida Steam Plant Theater - 220 W Sackett Ave\, Salida\, CO 81201 \nClick here for more information

SUMMARY:One Heart\, Many Connections: Ethical Relating with Multiple Partners
DESCRIPTION:Overcoming Sexual Anxiety: Poly Edition is a transformative class created specifically for people navigating the unique challenges of sexual anxiety within polyamorous or ethically non-monogamous relationships. Whether you're managing multiple intimate connections\, experiencing comparison or insecurity\, or struggling to express your needs across partners\, this course offers insight\, support\, and practical tools to help you reclaim your sexual confidence.  \nThis class combines evidence-based strategies with compassionate discussion to help participants understand the root causes of their anxiety. From societal shame and relationship dynamics to communication breakdowns and fear of judgment\, we’ll unpack the psychological and physiological factors that influence how we experience sex in a polyamorous context. \nIn addition to exploring theory\, the course provides actionable techniques such as mindfulness\, grounding exercises\, communication skill-building\, and body-positive practices. These tools are designed to help you identify triggers\, reduce anxiety\, and foster emotional safety across your relationships. \nWhether you're a seasoned poly person or just beginning your journey\, this class supports individuals\, couples\, and constellations in working through intimacy-related challenges together. If one or more people in a relationship experience sexual anxiety\, the solution lies in understanding and collaboration—not in shame or silence.  \nAbout the Instructor: Fawn O’Breitzman has been a college professor for over 20 years\, specializing in issues of Sex and Gender. She speaks nationally at conferences\, including those focused on Transgender and LGBTQ+ topics\, and provides inclusion training across diverse industries—from hospitals to construction sites. With a background in social work and therapy\, and personal experience navigating complex relational dynamics\, Fawn brings warmth\, wisdom\, and a no-judgment approach to this deeply human topic. She has helped countless people overcome sexual shame and anxiety to experience more fulfilling\, connected lives. \nClasses are held at the Sexploratorium and are intended for those 18 and older.
