SUMMARY:Rainbow Alley Drop-In: Mid Autumn Festival
DESCRIPTION:Mid Autumn Festival\nJoin us for drop in as we make mooncakes out of Oreos to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival! This festival\, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival\, has traditionally been associated with worshiping the moon to give thanks for the harvest and encourage "harvest-giving" light in the coming year. In present day\, many East Asian communities celebrate this holiday amongst loved ones by making mooncakes and lighting paper lanterns. \nMooncakes will be gluten free and vegan. Contact Vincent at vwong@lgbtqcolorado.org for more information. \nFor ages 10-17  \nRainbow Alley Drop-In is a safe\, brave space where LGBTQ youth and their allies find support and acceptance. Drop-in programming consists of activities\, community building\, referrals\, and resources all in a warm and welcoming environment. \nJoin us every Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM! Newcomers – join us during the first drop-in of each month for an introduction meeting and activity.
