DESCRIPTION:Are you stressed about social and political changes you hear about? \nDo you find yourself excessively worrying about the cultural climate? \nDo you find yourself feeling hopeless in response to what you see in news or social media? \nLed by licensed clinical psychologist\, Dr. Alex Ertl\, the purpose of this group is to create a space where people (adults 18+) can give and receive support for distress they experience in response to cultural and political changes happening locally\, nationally\, and globally.     \n\nWhen: Thursdays\, 5:15-6:30 p.m. MST starting June 19\, 2025\nFrequency: Meets weekly for 6 weeks\nWhere: 100% virtual for participants in over 40 states\nCost: $75/group; $450 for 6-weeks*\n\n*Payment is required to hold your spot in the group. DESCRIPTION:It's often said that when a loved one transitions\, everyone around them transitions too. PFLAG Denver's SOFFA group acknowledges that sometimes those closest to a transgender\, nonbinary\, or gender nonconforming person may need assistance to better provide support. Regardless of where you are on your allyship journey\, our peer-led groups provide brave space for you to adapt and develop expanded capacities of empathy and understanding. Through each other's stories\, we gain perspective\, we hold accountability\, and we celebrate joys. We learn coping strategies that can foster personal growth and resilience so that we may better support our loved ones.
