DESCRIPTION:Join us the fourth Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8pm for a Queer meditation practice in the Thich Nhat Hanh Plum Village mindfulness lineage. This is sponsored by the Denver Eyes of Compassion Sangha and Wake Up Denver Young Adult Sangha and welcomes all members of the LGBTQIA+ community. No prior meditation experience is needed. This practice is offered freely\, and for those able\, we appreciate a suggested donation of $5 to help cover space rental. \nOur general format for the monthly practice is: \n6:30pm - Welcome and introductions \n15 - 20 minute Guided Meditation \n10 Minute Optional Walking Meditation \n10 Minute Dharma Reading \n25 Minute Deep Listening & Loving Speech \n8:30pm Dedication of Merit and Closing \nOptional Tea Time!

DESCRIPTION:Denver Family Institute invites you to a virtual "Lunch and Learn" presentation to dive into an emerging model of systemic therapy: “The Queer Adjusted Systemic Lens” (QASL). \nTherapists working with queer clients will learn a bold and practical approach that centers and affirms queer identity while building strong alliances with everyone in the system o promote real change and create more affirming homes. \nRegister for the Zoom meeting here: https://bit.ly/QYPLunchAndLearn \nThe QASL is the foundation for the new “Systemic Provider Training for Queer Youth Clients (SPT) program\, a 20-week advanced training curriculum that helps professionals go from “queer-informed" to "queer-affirming."
