“What is yoga? Can I do yoga if I'm not flexible? I want to try yoga, but I'm scared.”
If you've said or thought things like this, then Queer & Trans Yoga with Drewsilla and #GiraffeMagick is for you!
Drewsilla is a fiercely embodied, nonbinary transwoman, a queer witch and artist, who lives her life through the infinite love of #GiraffeMagick. She was led to yoga in 2012 because she'd heard it could be a way to help cope with severe depression and anxiety, and she has never been the same since. The physical and spiritual practice of yoga has not only helped curb some affects of mental illness, but has also been a way to combat gender dysphoria by reclaiming a more personal, wholly unique and authentic sense of Self.
As a newly certified yoga teacher with over 200 hours of training, Drewsilla is ready and excited to create spaces for others to find physical/mental/spiritual transformation in their own right. She has said, time and again, “I am not here to change you. I am here, holding out my hand, inviting you to change yourself.”
A movement started by Drewsilla in 2018, #GiraffeMagick is all about giving yourself permission to take up space in this world, to take up Your space, the space only You can fill. Yoga is an incredible, transformative practice that can help you begin to feel empowered and embodied, so that you can begin to learn what taking up Your space looks like for You.
Are you ready to truly meet yourself?
