Gold Rush to War - LGBTQ Denver from 1870 - 1914

Historians Dinner Talk by Teddy Scott

When: Sunday, October 2, 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Where: Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row, 1946 Market St, Denver, CO 80202

Teddy Scott is a graduate student at UC Denver.  This Historian's Dinner will focus on the history of LGBTQ Denver from roughly 1870 - 1914, from the Gold Rush to the First World War.  We'll look at perhaps the first queer neighborhood in Lodo, and hear about spaces of gender illusion and homosocial cultures.  This talk will establish evidence for one of the earliest periods of Denver's LGBTQ history.  We look forward to seeing you there!
