Bob Hall and the Kusogea Nobi Drum Ensemble will take you on a journey of rhythm, song, and movement, retracing the roots of rhythm from Africa, the Americas, up through the Caribbean to North America and back to Africa. Participants will get an introduction to some history of the drums and then learn to play the sounds that make drums talk and sing. Learn a rhythm and absorb the energy of Traditional drumming! *This workshop will be held at the Think 360 Arts studio in the building called the Thomas Bean Tower, and it’s a high rise apartment building at the corner of Park Avenue and Washington and 20th Streets. Guests can park in the Safeway parking lot and walk across the street. Enter using the double doors facing Park Avenue West (the sign on the door says Benedict Enrichment Center). Then follow the signs to the Think 360 Arts office.
